  • Antique Leonard Vienna Square Bowl, Czech Porcelain, Count Thun Factory, Impressed TK (Thun Klosterle) Mark and Eight-Pointed Cross, Hand Painted Rust Florals, Elegant Decor, Extremely RARE,  (Discontinued).
  • Made in Klosterle, Bohemia (now Czech Republic)
  • Antique:  19th Century (1830 - 1889 estimated)
  • Details:  An absolutely gorgeous decorative square bowl by the highly regarded factory Count Thun Factory / Thun Klosterle Porcelain.  The hand painted floral design has rust, bronze, beige and gold colors with raised dots (moriage) on the smaller flowers. The bowl is square with embossed shells on the corners and a scalloped design on the base.  Now for the collectors:  It has an impressed TK mark, which we understand was used from approximately 1830 until 1889, although this TK mark has a number 25, possibly indicating 1825.  There's also a blue stamp for "Leonard Vienna", this belongs to "P H Leonard", an importer known to have imported items from the Count Thun Factory, (PH Leonard filed bankruptcy in 1898).  This floral pattern is listed in the Replacements website as Leonard Vienna pattern #7612, not sure if is the original mold number. This is a gorgeous bowl with a rich history, that has survived in this wonderful condition for almost 200 years!
  • How to Use:  This is a true treasure for a collector, or someone who appreciates valuable antiques and beautiful porcelain. We could see it used as a jardinière, with orchids or other flowers. Lovely on its own as decor.  We don't recommend using it for serving food due to possible lead.
  • Material:  Porcelain
  • Dimensions:  4.0 inches Tall, approx. 8.5 x 8.5 inches Square (at its widest point)
  • Condition:  Antique - Used.  Excellent condition.  There are no chips, cracks, or scratches on this piece, we could find no issues.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns. Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.

The Count Thun Factory in Bohemia, (now part of the Czech Republic), was founded in 1794 by Johann Nikolaus Weber, with financing from Count Franz Joseph von Thun und Hohenstein.  They were, and still are, a highly regarded, major producer of fine porcelain. The impressed TK mark, (stands for the Count's last name, Thun, and factory location, Klosterle), was used from approximately 1830 until 1889. This piece also has an impressed eight-pointed cross which could be an older mark or a specific variation used on certain products associated with this factory.  The company was owned by Count Thun until it was nationalized in 1945.  They are the the oldest and largest Czech porcelain manufacturer, still in business today, now known as Thun 1794.  Unfortunately the original factory in  Klášterec was apparently closed in September 2023
